Desirable experience would include boundary and topographic surveys, deed research, construction layout, and drafting with AutoCAD Civil 3D software. Land Survey Field Crew Chief

 

Doucet Survey is a progressive land survey company and has an immediate opening for an experienced Field Crew Chief to join our growing team.

 

Qualified applicant should have a minimum of four years of experience as a Crew Chief working on high-detail engineering surveys, ALTA’s, and construction layout. A college degree and have passed F.S. is also preferred.

 

Must be detail-oriented, experienced in the proper care and maintenance of field survey equipment, proficient in field survey methods and techniques, and have some supervisory experience.  A valid driver’s license, good driving record, and the ability to pass a Department of Defense security screening are also required.

 

The successful candidate will work with Trimble equipment, Leica scanners and other progressive technologies on a wide variety of projects throughout New England.  Some overnight travel is required.

 

Land Survey Instrument Operator

 

Doucet Survey is a progressive land survey company and has an immediate opening for a highly-motivated Instrument Operator to join our growing team.

 

Qualified applicant should have two-year survey degree or a minimum of one-year of land surveying experience.  Experience with Trimble Total Stations and Trimble Access Software is a plus.

 

Must be able to perform various land survey tasks under the direction of a supervisor, be detail-oriented, and possess excellent communication skills.  A valid driver’s license, good driving record, ability to lift over 75 pounds and work in a variety of weather conditions is also required.  Must also be able to pass a Department of Defense security screening.

 

The successful candidate will work on a wide variety of projects throughout New England and some overnight travel may be required.

 

CAD Draftsman

 

Doucet Survey is a progressive land survey company looking to add a CAD Draftsman to our award-winning CAD Department.

 

Qualified applicant should have a college degree in computer drafting or related program and a minimum of two years of survey or Civil site engineering experience.  Experience with Autodesk Civil 3d, Revit and Recap, as well as a variety of point cloud processing software, is a plus.

Assistant Professor of Surveying/GIS

 

Paul Smith’s College invites applicants for a full-time faculty appointment, starting in the fall of 2019 to help support our growing Surveying/GIS program.  This position (Assistant Professor of Surveying/GIS) has a primary focus teaching modern surveying techniques, using modern equipment and software. The successful applicant will teach topographic, boundary, and route surveying, with significant time being spent in the field. In addition to traditional surveying knowledge, proficiency in GIS is required. Other expectations may include advising clubs, facilitating networking opportunities for students, and working closely with the College’s surveying advisory board.
